DESCRIPTION:Alveston Fete & Dog Show Sunday 6th September \n   \nThis is t
 he archetypal Middle England Village Fete which due to popular demand wil
 l be without \nMorris Dancers!! \nThe event will start at 1.00pm on the V
 illage Green with the Dog Show at 3.00pm (entries by 2.00pm) \nfollowed b
 y the Olimpix\, culminating in the Tug O’ War. \nThe Olimpix will have lo
 ts of children’s events and some games for the adults as well (not \ncomp
 ulsory!). \nThe day will be approximately the same as last year with a fe
 w more new exciting attractions. \nThe Sunflower competition will be judg
 ed at 2.00pm\, there will be a ‘Vinted’ style stall\, all new but \nold a
 nd candy floss will be a sticky treat for children (and adults!). \nNew f
 or the children this year will be a dress and costume stall. Here they wi
 ll be making Fairy Wings \nand Wands\, Crowns\, Shields\, and Bracelets. 
 They can get creative and make something lovely to take \nhome. There wil
 l also be a small fancy dress area. \nThe charity that we are supporting 
 this year is Stratford Girls and Ladies Football Club who run 8 \nteams\,
  of all ages\, based at the town football club. \nPlease be aware that th
 e road outside the Ferry will be closed and a further reminder note will 
 go to \nresidents to remind them. \nWe will need volunteers from 8.30 am 
 to set up the site and similarly after the event for clearing \naway. \nD
 o come and support the Fete\, meet everybody and have a jolly good time.
